Commitments to Act – How to get started?

A commitment is an act or a process that contributes to a healthier Baltic Sea. A Baltic Sea Commitment should be as concrete as possible: It can have a direct or an indirect impact on the Baltic Sea. The commitment should offer fresh solutions that have not been tried before. This means that ongoing projects, carried out by the BSAG or other organisations, are not eligible.

Everyone can and is welcome to make a commitment!

What can you get by committing?

By committing yourself to act you will get:

  • a clean Baltic Sea
  • a chance to take concrete action to restore the Baltic Sea
  • a chance to ensure that our children will have a clean Baltic Sea.

What should you do?

If you are unsure of what to do you can find ideas of commitments in HELCOM´s Baltic Sea Action Plan http://www.helcom.fi/BSAP/en_GB/intro/. You can also email on info@bsag.fi. We can together try and find a commitment to action that is possible for you. The basic idea is that you provide the knowledge and resources which are your strengths.
